Tommy once organised the “VQ Sunday Workshop” with the main designers of VQ. One activity was to create a series of posters on the theme of 9 sins by using garbage. The 9 sins include gluttony, lying, greed, temperament, murder, sloth, envy, anger and amorousness. The garbage on the posters creates an impressive, dirty and despicable visual shock, which intensifies the ‘sin’, making the theme more controversial and ironic.
Twenty years later, Tommy together with Li Chi Tak, Ringo Tang and XCEPT create a series of large-scale woodcut prints New 9 Sins on the same theme. Tommy invited 8 friends including Anthony Wong, MC Yan, Keith Lam, Peter Wong, Vincent Tsui, Abby Lai, Andy Tam and Ringo Tang to participate in the photo-taking. They become the subjects of the artworks accompanied by random illustrations and augmented reality effect, creating a more captivating visual.
Visitors can enjoy the immersive and illusionistic effects of New 9 Sins by the use of the mobile application.
